Prepare my funeral — user guide

Note funeral wishes for your relatives: burial, ceremony, music, contacts. Not a will. Famille plan. 3114 if you are in distress.

Updated: 20 August 2026

1. Wishes, not the notarised act

The form helps you note: disposition of the body, ceremony type, place, music, readings, flowers or donations, contacts, notes.

The product copy is explicit: this has no legal testamentary value. For the estate, a notary + MYWIE testament complement.

  • Checklist (10 items): disposition, ceremony, place, music, readings, flowers, contacts, trusted person, testament, messages.
  • Trusted person / testament / messages boxes also tick if those records already exist.
  • Back-link to the vault.

You can leave everything undecided. It is not a contract with a funeral home.

2. Fill in and save

One draft per account. Saving updates the fields (disposition, ceremony, rite, place, music, and so on).

  • Encryption of sensitive notes (app vault / ZK depending on the account).
  • Draft status until you save.
  • Famille plan (funeral_prep gate): Essentiel sees an upgrade banner.

Nothing is sent automatically to a funeral operator.

3. Required plan

Prepare my funeral is not in Essentiel.

  • Famille and Héritage: open.
  • Digital testament and scheduled messages are other Famille gates, useful for the checklist.

See Pricing.

4. Privacy and listening

Encrypted notes, your account alone can reread them. If these questions overwhelm you, 3114 listens without judgement.

  • Hosting in France.
  • No publication.
  • MYWIE support for the tool; 3114 for distress.

You are not alone.

3114

3114 is a free helpline, 24/7, for anyone in psychological distress — and for worried relatives. Listening is confidential.

Go further

This guide covers the wishes form. Digital testament, scheduled messages and a trusted person remain separate tools.

One checkbox at a time

You can leave everything as “not decided yet”. Saving is enough to move the tracker.
