Senior mode — user guide

Larger type, simpler actions, browser speech: a home screen, not a second account.

Updated: 20 August 2026

1. What senior mode is for

Senior mode enlarges the interface and offers a home with a few actions (write, messages, tree, memories) instead of the full menu at once.

It is not a separate product: it is the same MYWIE, with a display preference.

  • Activation stored for the account (and in session).
  • Preview possible while signed out (session preview).
  • Speech via the browser’s synthesis (if available), not a recording studio.

Dictation may exist on some pages (e.g. narrative AI); it is not magic on every field.

2. Enable, use, disable

From the Senior mode page or the dedicated space once signed in. Disabling restores the standard interface.

  • My senior space: shortcuts to journal, messages, tree.
  • Support link from that home.
  • Account settings: other options (including MFA) stay in Settings.

If there is no voice: the browser must allow speech synthesis; that is not MYWIE alone.

3. Plans

Senior mode is not a paid option.

  • Available on Essentiel.
  • Target tools (scheduled messages, etc.) keep their own plan gates.

Turning the mode on does not unlock Famille.

4. Privacy

No voice is sent to a public cloud merely because the screen is read aloud: synthesis is local to the browser.

  • Preference stored on the account.
  • Opened content (journal, etc.) follows those features’ rules.

See the privacy policy.

Go further

This guide covers senior mode. The journal, messages and tree remain the same tools, with a more readable interface.

Turn the mode on, then one action for today

Activation is stored for your account. A preview also exists without an account (session).
